Just like the killing spell of the greatest fictional movie series – ‘Harry Potter’, Avocado is a super effective health fruit which has paved its way to the Indian consumers. It may be as ugly as Lord Voldemort but has properties as righteous as Harry Potter himself.

Avocados are indeed a Super-fruit.
1. Oleic Acid:
Where most fruits naturally are rich in carbohydrates giving us all body fat, avocados are naturally carrying healthy fats. Healthy fats? Whats that? Let me explain. Avocados are containing high oleic acid, a monounsaturated fat.

100 gm of Avocado contains 2g of protein. An average Avocado weighs 250 gm and contains 5g protein. No wonder why all gym fanatics or health enthusiasts absolutely love this fruit.
3. Fibre Frenzy:
Fibre is the indigestible parts of plant foods, such as vegetables, fruits, grains, beans and legumes. It is type of a carbohydrate that helps keep our digestive systems healthy. Dietary fibre (both soluble and insoluble) is important for our digestive health and regular bowel movements. Fibre also helps you feel fuller for longer, can improve cholesterol and blood sugar levels and can assist in preventing some diseases such as diabetes, heart disease and bowel cancer. Avocados contain more soluble fiber than most foods and help stabilize blood sugar levels, facilitate proper bowel regularity and maintain proper weight control.

Vitamins B and C are complex vitamins which are not stored in our body. This means that we need to replenish them every day. Avocados are one of the better sources of these vitamins.Apart from these, avocados are rich in Vitamins A, E and K which are required by our bodies to not only function properly, but also work together with essential minerals building our metabolism.

Potassium helps trigger your heart to squeeze blood through your body. It also helps your muscles to move, your nerves to work, and your kidneys to filter blood.
